Star Citizen (RSI) not working? Try these fixes
- Games go down for scheduled maintenance, often right after a patch. Check the game's official social accounts.
- If the launcher works but matchmaking fails, the game servers may be down while the website is up.
- Restart your router and console or PC, and make sure the game and launcher are fully updated.
- Check the platform network too (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam); a platform outage takes every game with it.
- Try another device or network, for example mobile data instead of Wi-Fi.
- Hard-refresh the page (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R) or open it in a private window.
- Flush your DNS cache, or switch your DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8.
- Turn off your VPN, ad blocker or other browser extensions and try again.
Questions
Is Star Citizen (RSI) down right now?
We checked Star Citizen (RSI) just now and it was up. The server answered with HTTP 301 in 192 ms.
Why is Star Citizen (RSI) not working for me?
If our check shows Star Citizen (RSI) is up, the problem is most likely on your side: your network, DNS, browser extensions, or an outdated app. Try the steps above. If it shows down, the problem is on Star Citizen (RSI)'s end and you'll need to wait for them to fix it.
How often do you check Star Citizen (RSI)?
Every 10 minutes, around the clock. Failed checks are retried once before they're recorded, and we keep 30 days of history.
Where do your checks come from?
From a single server in a data center. A site can be down in one region and up in another, so an outage that only affects some countries may not show up here.
